The Impact of Vaping on Cancer Rates in the UK

According to research, vaping has had a significant impact on reducing cancer rates in the UK. The use of Vape Pens has been shown to be a safer alternative to traditional smoking which is a major cause of cancer. In fact research has found that vaping is 95% less harmful than smoking which has led to an increase in the number of people switching from smoking to vaping.

 

 

Despite the COVID 19 epidemic, the number of people who smoke in the UK has decreased in recent years. The smoking rate in the United Kingdom is expected to be 14.9% in 2021, the lowest reported percentage since the 1940s. The popularity of vaping as well as other anti smoking programmes and activities has contributed significantly to the decrease in smoking.

 

The decrease in smoking rates has led to a corresponding decrease in the number of people diagnosed with smoking related cancers such as lung cancer, throat cancer and bladder cancer. In fact the research has found that vaping has drive down the number of deaths due to lung cancer, which is the leading cause of cancer related deaths in the UK.

 

Finally by giving a safer alternative to smoking, vaping has had a favourable influence on cancer rates in the UK. Vaping has helped to lower the number of patients diagnosed with smoking related malignancies and has led to a decrease in lung cancer Deaths.
